SMART Hydrobike

UTeM introduced the Smart Hydrobike, an eco-friendly tech solution designed to collect floating waste and help keep the Melaka River clean. The project combines innovation and environmental stewardship to support sustainable urban waterways.

iFOS IoT Flood Observatory System

The IoT-based Flood Observatory System (iFOS) is designed for real-time monitoring of water levels in flood-prone areas. It provides instant alerts via mobile devices, web dashboards, and social media to help residents and authorities prepare for floods, minimising property damage and improving evacuation planning. The system also collects valuable data for future flood mitigation strategies.

Hydroponic Farming

Hydroponic farming is a modern, soil-free method of growing plants using nutrient-rich water, allowing efficient, sustainable, and year-round crop production.

High Visibility Realtime Vehicle Speed Display System

The High Visibility Realtime Vehicle Speed Display System project, led by Eur. Ing. Dr. Siva Kumar A/L Subramaniam focuses on improving road safety within the UTeM campus. The system is designed to display the real-time speed of vehicles, reminding drivers to adhere to campus speed limits and encouraging safer driving behaviour.

ElectroBlocks

ElectroBlocks is a set of modular learning blocks that lets kids (ages 7–12) explore electronics through play. By connecting blocks like LEDs, buzzers, and logic gates, they can build real circuits in a fun and safe way—helping spark early interest in STEM.
